Integrative Trauma Therapy in South East London & Online
A Warm, Safe Space to Process and Heal
Experiencing trauma can leave you feeling disconnected from yourself, overwhelmed, or stuck in a cycle of survival. Whether you are navigating recent events or carrying the weight of past experiences, you do not have to process it alone.
My approach to trauma therapy is compassionate, gentle, and adaptable. I understand that trauma impacts everyone differently, which is why I decided to train as an integrative therapist. This means I do not use a rigid, one-size-fits-all framework. Instead, I carefully draw from a range of therapeutic models to find the safest, most supportive way of working with you as an individual.
My Background in Trauma Recovery
I am an Accredited Member of the BACP (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy) and hold a Certificate in Working with Trauma.
My practice is shaped by over a decade of dedicated experience in the charity sector, where I have supported adults navigating complex trauma and social justice issues. My professional background includes:
Sexual Violence Support: Extensive experience providing tailored counselling for adults who have experienced sexual violence, whether during childhood or later in adult life.
Domestic Abuse Services: A deep understanding of the psychological impacts of domestic abuse and coercive control.
HIV Support: Experience of working within dedicated services for individuals living with HIV.
This extensive background has deeply informed my clinical practice and my commitment to support every client with sensitivity, respect, and a trauma-informed perspective.
What Does a "Safe Space" Mean to You?
I am aware that trauma thrives in environments where control and safety have been taken away. Because of this, I will ask about your needs and preferences for therapy, and our therapeutic relationship will be collaborative.
I am a warm and empathetic counsellor, and my primary goal is to co-create a space with you that feels as safe as possible. I welcome open conversations about what "safety" and "comfort" mean to you personally. We can discuss exactly what adjustments, pacing, or boundaries you need to feel grounded and secure during our sessions together.
